Dear
Fellow IT Professional,
I am honored by the trust and confidence you have extended in awarding
me with the leadership of the PCS once more. I can promise you another
challenging and exciting year ahead!
Those of you who
know me well will say that I am very results oriented. For this
year, your Board is going to focus on 3 key areas -
technology, financial, and a more active membership -
for which we have planned and set key performance indicators. We
know what we want to accomplish, and all our efforts converge towards
achieving our targets.
For technology, we would like to harness this ourselves for active use
within the PCS. You may have noticed our increasing emphasis on email
and web-based communications, and we are looking at further improving
this. We are also looking at more technology based solutions for membership
administration.
Our financial goal is to ensure that your PCS remains financially viable.
All events have to, at the very least, break even, and we are exercising
prudence with all expenditure.
We also have a lot of plans and events that you will find interesting
and valuable to participate in, growing the value you find in your membership
in the PCS! Towards this, we have redesigned the PDP to include both
technology-related topics (IQ sessions) and self-development topics
(EQ sessions), creating the well-rounded IT professional. And to maximize
our time together, the PDP has been combined with the MMM in one learning
and fun session from 1 pm to 7 pm, monthly. Various IT events that are
designed to be both interesting and fun will also be shared with you
periodically, through email and the PCS website (http://pcs-it.org).
Progress on all these fronts will be reported to you quarterly at the
MMM, and through the PCS website.
The PCS has always been the premiere association for IT professionals,
working towards continuous career development and providing a community-of-interest
for all of us in the IT industry. Let us work
together towards personal and professional growth!
Very truly yours,
DITTAS FORMOSO
President, PCS
