THE SEARCH FOR THE 2005 OUTSTANDING CIO OF THE YEAR
A premiere project of the Philippine Computer Society

These awards honor individuals who have demonstrated outstanding contribution, leadership and business acumen in leveraging Information Technology (IT) and other related technologies to achieve business goals and strategy. It is to Chief Information Officers by fellow IT professionals who have demonstrated excellence in implementing and/or managing their organization’s enterprise-wide information systems and/or IT strategy.

CIO DEFINITION
For the purpose of this award, CIO is defined as any executive or leader who is accountable for, implements, and/or manages the organization’s enterprise-wide information systems, function or unit. He or she may have a different job title other than Chief Information Officer.

COVERAGE
The Search for the Outstanding CIO covers the fiscal year 2004-2005 of the Philippine Computer Society.

CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION
To be eligible for consideration, nominees must meet the following requirements:

  1. Must be employed by a Philippine-based business or foreign-owned subsidiary based in the Philippines.
  2. Must be primary accountable for the organization’s information technology function and/or unit.
  3. Must be a member of the organization’s management team.
  4. Must accept participation to post award activities such as becoming a member of the PCS Speakers Bureau.

SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES

  1. Nomination and/or application forms are available at:

    PCS Secretariat Office:
    Unit 263 Cityland Dela Rosa Condominium
    7648 Dela Rosa corner Washington Streets
    Pio del Pilar Village, 1200 Makati City

  2. Upon receipt of the nomination, PCS will send the following forms to the nominator:

    Nomination Form (Form No.1) - must be signed by the nominator;

    Acceptance Form (Form No. 2) - the nominee must accept the nomination and the immediate supervisor must approve the participation of the nominee. The nominee’s company must agree to submit necessary documents that may be
    required by the CIO Awards Committee and allow the nominee to go through the screening and judging process.

    General Application Form (Form No. 3) - this form consists of questionnaire that will guide the CIO Awards Committee in determining if the nominee is qualified to join the Search.

  3. Entries can be submitted starting April 8, 2005 until April 30, 2005 at the PCS Office.

  4. Those who qualified for final judging shall be interviewed by the Panel of Final Board of Judges.
